The Department of East Asian Studies at New York University invites applications for a full-time non tenure-track appointment as a Korean Language Lecturer beginning September 1, 2016, pending budgetary and administrative approval. The initial appointment is for a minimum of one year with the possibility of multi-year renewals contingent on successful reviews. The program is seeking an instructor who has excellent command of both English and Korean, and who, at a minimum, holds an MA degree in Korean linguistics, applied linguistics, language pedagogy, Korean studies, or related field. Course load: three classes per semester.

The application must include cover letter, resume, a personal statement on teaching philosophy (as it applies to courses from the introductory to advanced level), and three letters of recommendation.
