A full-time, tenure track position at BYU Qualifications: The Ph.D. should be in a relevant field (e.g. Korean language teaching, Korean literature or linguistics, or 2nd Language Acquisition) with significant formal training in foreign language teaching and learning; and a minimum of near-native fluency in Korean and English. Three years of teaching various levels of Korean is recommended. Duties/Expectations: The candidate must demonstrate outstanding aptitude and interest in undergraduate teaching, a commitment to the liberal arts, and a desire to involve undergraduates in scholarship. The candidate must be able to teach approximately six courses in language (from beginning through advanced levels), and teach in an area of specialization in linguistics, literature and/or pedagogy over the academic year. The candidate will also be responsible for curriculum development and maintaining an active research and publishing agenda.
